THE PLAZA HOTEL

P.C. Automated Controls has been awarded the contract to one of El Paso’s most visible, historic landmarks. The long-vacant, historic Plaza Hotel building in Downtown El Paso will be remade into a 131-room, upscale boutique hotel with an adjacent, 540-car parking garage.

The hotel will create jobs for 375 employees with an average salary of $18.50 an hour, according to executives. The 19-story building will have 6,500-square-feet of restaurant and bar space and have 7,600-square-feet of event space.
